Making Every Journey Safer Before the Crash Happens.
Crash Defend Technologies builds preventive safety technology designed to stop accidents before they happen. Our first product, Stay-Awake, is a retrofit smart temple that attaches to existing eyewear, detects driver fatigue and drowsiness, and provides real-time alerts, with a companion platform for safety insights and driving history.
Crash Defend Technologies is building preventive road-safety technology designed to identify risk before it becomes an accident.
Our first product, Stay-Awake, is a retrofit Smart Temple that attaches to ordinary eyewear and monitors the driver for signs of fatigue and drowsiness. Using near-eye sensing and computer vision, the system is designed to detect dangerous driver states and trigger real-time alerts through audio and vibration. Alongside the device, we are building a companion platform where users can view trip history, fatigue events, and safety insights.
The idea started after a serious drowsy-driving accident involving people from my neighborhood, where two people lost their lives. That experience pushed me to start working on this problem while I was still in school.
Since then, I have developed early prototypes, worked on drowsiness-detection models and embedded hardware, filed IP related to the system, conducted driver research, and received recognition through innovation competitions and programs.
We are currently focused on miniaturizing the hardware, improving real-world reliability, validating the product with drivers and fleet operators, and preparing for pilot deployment.
Our long-term vision is to build a broader driver-safety layer that can combine wearable sensing, driving intelligence, and eventually vehicle-side intervention to make advanced safety accessible even in vehicles that do not have built-in driver monitoring.
